The SENCO co-ordinates additional support for students with special educational needs and liaises with parents and carers, teachers and other professionals who are involved with them, to ensure the best possible provision.
PROGRESS LEADERS:
Our Progress Leaders are responsible for monitoring the academic performance of the students in their subjects and ensuring that every student can reach their full potential.
HEAD OF YEAR
The Head of Year monitors your child’s whole educational experience, ensuring that the individual needs of students are met. The Head of Year morally, spiritually, socially and culturally helps to educate all students in their care, throughout their time at South Wirral. Parents of Year 7 students are invited into school to meet staff a short time after the start of the school year and will act in partnership to ensure your child is supported and encouraged at each stage of their development.
ASSISTANT HEAD OF YEAR:
Each year group has an Assistant Head of Year. These are non-teaching staff who are available all day to support our students. They are available all day from our Student Services Hub next to the student entrance.
